Newburgh Police Charge Man With Hit-And-Run, DWI

NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- A local man was charged by Newburgh police with a hit-and-run that occurred early Friday after they found his car on fire in a parking lot of a church, according to a report on Time Warner Cable News.

Police charged 25-year-old Justin Pedrosa with driving while intoxicated, driving with a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident, Time Warner Cable News reported.

Police told TWC that they were called to a home on Fostertown Road about 4:30 a.m. Friday regarding a car that had hit the home's rock wall. A short time later, TWC reported, police were called to a car on fire in a church parking lot a short distance from the accident.

Pedrosa was found later and determined to be the driver and charged, according to TWC.
